Q.
I can't send or receive any messages since I signed up for Gmail "2-step verification".

A.
You have to enter "verification code" in order to log on after signing up "2-step verification".
The ibisMail does not support the "verification code", so password which you have used is no longer good.
If "2-step verification" has been set, please create "Application-specific passwords" by following the instructions below.

  1. Log in Gmail with your PC.
  2. Click link of email address at upper-right corner of the screen and then click "Account settings" from menu.
  3. *After cliking the link, you may be forced to log on Google site again.
  4. Fill in application name (e.g. ibisMail) for "Name" in "Application-specific passwords".
  5. Click "Generate password" button on the right side of "Name".
  6. As password will be displayed, keep the password in your mind.(except blank)

After you create "Application-specific passwords", start the ibisMail on your device and follow the instruction following. Please delete your old account and then create new account with "Application-specific passwords" that you made.
Click here about creating an account of Gmail.

In addition, though your emails and inbox can be restored, in case of IMAP account, you have to re-create filtering rules made on the ibisMail.
Also, in case of POP account, though your emails which are on server could be restored, following items can't be restored. Those are emails which aren't on server, sent or draft emails and filtering rules on the ibisMail.
